All drum sounds of the PS02 use only one sample per instrument. E.g. there is one sample of a short hihat sound.
This sound will be in low or high volume according to the drum pattern you use.
A real drum set works and sounds different !
If you hit a hihat soft or hard not only the level is changing - also the SOUND itself.
That's why most drum machines sound boring and artificial.
Here is the solution: The new Dynamic Drums for the PS02 use 8 different hihat samples. One for very soft hits, one for a little bit louder ones and so on.
The same is true for the snare drum (8 samples) and for most other instruments.
